  Location is good. We had Xmas dinner booked for £65 a head. Starters and mains were disappointing. Wife is pregnant s0 asked if she could swap the prosseco (included in the price ) for something else and was told she can't l. We had crab starter. No lemon was served (had to get up and walk over to kitchen to ask for some as no one was coming to the table). Also had bits of shell in it. Main (beef) was very overcooked and was chewy as a result also no sauce offered or even mustard (had to go the kitchen again to ask for it ). Wife had turkey and it came with no cranberry sauce. Deserts were pleasant. Enjoyed the brioche bread pudding. No mince pies were provided (other tables were given them but not us) even though they were meant to be included. Meal definitely not worth £65. Some staff were very smiley but overall didn't feel that the service matched the price at all.

  Lovely place to stay, clean and confortable rooms. We are dinner and breakfast which were both delicious. Staff was very kind!

  Location was good, easy to find and well sign posted. Rooms were adequate. Some water damage to walls, drafty windows and minor bug (ladybird) problem. Shower was beautiful and the beds were fresh and comfortable. Service was great, very pleasant and polite. Could have had more vegetarian/vegan options available, had to eat elsewhere because of this (my partner suffers from a dairy allergy) Overall a pleasant experience.
